Cultural departures from biblical patterns inevitably demonstrate
themselves in problems faced by the Lord's church. This is seen today in
the fact that many churches that still identify themselves as churches
of Christ are beginning to reject biblical teaching regarding gender
roles and restrictions within the local church. This study surveys some
of these departures and seeks to offer a warning call to sound brethren
to be on guard for these dangers.
