A multitude of people--from "every nation, from all tribes and people and languages" will be in heaven--all standing before the throne of God (Revelation 7:9). So why do we struggle with racial issues down here? God created all people from one blood (Acts 17:26), and Christians have been washed in the blood of Jesus. Doubly one blood. So why are there brethren who are still alienated from one another?
We hope this book will help Christians think about, discuss, and navigate sometimes challenging and sensitive questions regarding matters of race. We believe the Bible has the answers and the church as designed by God--along with individual hearts obedient to Him--is the solution. Congregations should be places of serenity--a taste of paradise comprised of Christians who love, laugh, and assume the best about one another. May the world know we are Christians by our love!
