From the cover: There is something exciting about a new year, a new century, and especially a new millenium. This new millenium, wich began January 1, 2001, is filled with a variety of opportunities, challenges, and difficulties. None of us will live to see another millennium, so we must make the most of the years we have in this one.

Jeus came to earth at precisely the right time to accomplish the will of God in the salvation of mankind. Paul calls it the "fulness of time" (Gal. 4:4). An angel informed Joseph of the purpose of Jesus' coming in these words: "And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins" (Mt. 1:21). The common tendency among men to cast aside the old and seek the new must be rejected in this case as a tragic mistake. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever" (Heb. 13:8). The lecture theme, "Jesus for a New Millenium," has been chosen because it sets forth our conviction that Jesus provides the solution to the questions and challenges for the thrid millenium since His coming as He has for the previous millenia. These lectures are based on the teachings of Jesus as presented in Matthew's gospel and are much needed in our time. Fifteen capable gospel preachers from across the nation and one foreign country have been invited to prepare lessons and present them on this program for the year 2001.
