This book represents over two year's work, five thousand miles, and many interviews with members of Churches of Christ across the state of Alabama. It contains some infor­mation which is hard to find about the condition of the churches in the early 1940's and earlier. The book has never been published. The information in the book deserves a wider circulation and to become a part of the public record.
