This is the story of
Will and Carl Etter, who gave up "those things most surely believed among
us" and joined the Congregational Church. If they had gone silently, only one sentiment would have been expressed
among us -- regret and grief. But their statements and arguments called for a
reply. If they are justified in the step they took, then all of us would be
justified to do the same. If the fallacies in their reasoning were hidden to
them, then they will be hidden to others. Therefore, the purpose of this review
is to expose these fallacies.
